Gateways Learning Centre Newsletter

Greetings!

We just got back from a tour of the Okanagan and had three successful workshops. More schools are recognizing the importance of introducing STEM (Science, Technology, Education, Mathematics) principles to their students and allowing them to collaborate to find solutions for the challenges that they were presented. Fraser Valley District Education School has started their program and have introduced it to many schools in Chilliwack. Within a few years, this robotics program will be running throughout the lower mainland.

Our success is based upon continuing to work towards excellence. Gateways isn't satisfied with an "average" program and with the status quo of most educational programs. We continue to improve and add exciting supplements to existing programs. With budget cuts and reduced funding in many areas, we continue to find ways to bring this programs across the lower mainland.

Mike Lally has secured government funding for one of his schools in Surrey and we will be running one of our programs in winter because of his hard work. Liane Ricou, Surrey's business development manager, and Stephen Boyd, community school cordinator have had the insight to see that this an important program to introduce to their schools and students. Our future development is instrumental on working together with business leaders and school administrators in the lower mainland.

To keep abreast of our changing future, our blogs to keep pace of the exciting future of technology and monitors new developments in science, education and engineering.

Christmas and BDay LEGO Parties

Botshop Parties

Botshop parties entertain children and teens with exciting, high-energy, interactive shows that come to you. Our no-mess, hassle-free parties typically last three hours, with the option of special add-ons, like computer animations, mechanical explosions and rocket launches. Children  will discover cars that are powered by solar energy, marvel at how a robot can detect lines, shapes and objects through sensors and how computer programs can operate machines!

Thank you very much for your services. The party was a great success. All the children were very happy and all of them enjoyed a lot the experience. It was more than just a birthday party; it was a hands-on learning experience.
