Buying a new Cooling Tower?
Great. It's time that old piece of junk went away. But...
Don't just order a new tower like the old one. Take the time to see if a bigger- or smaller- tower would better match the current and anticipated loads. See if you can reduce the fan motor size. Using 20 instead of 30 HP for 10 hours/day at 12 cents/KWH for 20 years will save about $80,000! Any nagging operational problems like excess noise, freeze up, water level control, etc. should be addressed. Babysitting a misapplied tower can be very expensive in labor and replacement part costs not to mention reduced reliability.

Then, make sure the new tower is installed properly and begin enjoying a more relaxing life!
