Our office building at 182 East Main Street |
We have recently consolidated our architectural offices from occupying the second and third floors of our building, freeing more than 1,000 sq.ft. of newly renovated office space for immediate lease. Keith Saylor, attorney, has the first floor.
Our office building, one of two brownstones in town originally built around 1869, is an important part of Westminster's locally zoned historic district. It is within convenient walking distance of restaurants and shops downtown, the Carroll County government offices (including the Board of Education) and the District and Circuit Courts.
Parking is accessible from South Street (the alley between Main and Green Streets), in our parking lot to the rear of the building, and metered spaces are available at the front. The immediate mixed commercial-residential neighborhood includes several law offices, accounting, insurance, and real estate offices, restaurants, retail shops, churches, and urban residences.

The scaled floor plan to the right depicts the office space available (about 1,025 net sq.ft.), along with suggested uses for each room. The space is accessed via either the large stair leading up from the entrance lobby, or the former servant's stair which connects to the building's rear entrance.
Finishes throughout include wall-to-wall carpeting, painted plaster and tackable walls, and suspended ceilings. Most doors, hardware, and woodwork are the original historical features, lending an authentic feel to the workplace. Many rooms include built-in work surfaces and shelving. Additional archive file storage space is available in the basement.

The main entrance to the building is via an attractive covered porch, opening into a shared lobby. An ornate oak stairway leads to the receptionist's office at the second-floor landing. This stair continues up to the third floor and our newly renovated architectural offices.
We plan to retain--or perhaps share with the new tenant--use of the space on the floor plan labeled "Printing
Room." This contains a large-format printer, used for copying
architectural drawings, which has proven to be extremely difficult to move.
