16 year-old Gabriella came to A New Leaf's PACTT program with anxiety, depression and a history of hospitalizations for self-harming behaviors. This program intends to provides support to keep children like Gabriella out of residential treatment due to their behavioral needs.

To accomplish her success, staff provided bilingual services to Gabriella's family so that they could understand her behavioral challenges. They also utilized social emersion and positive behavior support techniques to assist Gabriella in becoming comfortable in public.

Since her involvement in the program, Gabriella has:

• Excelled academically
• Participated in the community activites on a regular basis
• Learned more appropriate ways to communicate her anger and anxiety in place of threatening harm to herself
• Assisted others in developing the same coping skills
