Business Matters
Chuck Marquis, Project Manager TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) Economic Development was our guest speaker for Business Matters in November. Mr. Marquis is the TVA representative for this area and was anxious to meet with the Business Matters attendees. He shared with the group how TVA's Consumer Connection program could assist small business. Consumer Connection is an economic development program developed by TVA to tie Valley communities with business opportunities, growth, and preservation. The program is designed to help area leaders recognize retail development and retention in efforts to increase the local tax and revenue base, improve property values, sustain job growth, and boost capital investment.
Make plans to attend and bring a friend or co-worker to Business Matters on Tuesday, December 21. The guest speaker will be Brad Parsons, new administrator for Baptist Hospital in Union City.
