How to Work with a Professional Graphic/Website Designer

Save money by following a few simple steps. Whether you are working to create a website or printed brochure the information you need to provide your designer is the same.

  1. Take the time to gather all your information so you can send everything at once. Sending information a little at a time will ultimately cost you money;

  2. Have a general idea of what you want your design to look like...samples from other similar companies are great;

  3. Make sure you send your logo, photographs or any images you already have. If the designer has to search out images, it will cost you;

  4. Write your text in clear and consist language (not all graphic designers are copywriters, if you want the designer to edit your text be sure to find out how much it will cost you);

  5. Get a flat fee contract upfront that states clearly what the designer will and will not do for you;

  6. Check references, it's worth the time to make sure your designer has the experience and reliability you are looking for.
