Raised over $3.1 Million in gifts

 

The Crystal Coast Hospice House is moving closer to opening the doors of the area's first inpatient hospice facility.  During the last few months, the organization has received pledges, gifts and grants totaling over $3.2 million for the construction of the hospice home. 
 

In September, the State Employees' Credit Union Foundation announced its commitment of $1 million to the project!  "This was a huge boost to our campaign and pushed us so much closer to our construction estimate," said Sarah Strange, president of CCHH.

Expedited Review of Certificate Of Need  

 

Crystal Coast Hospice House recently received notice from the State that its Certificate of Need  (CON) application is receiving expedited review.   This means we should receive news of the anticipated approval several weeks earlier.  CCHH submitted its CON application to the State for a 10 bed inpatient and residential hospice facility in August 15.  The State notified CCHH that its application was complete and non-competitive, meaning no other organization applied for the Carteret County hospice beds.

Sonny Davis of Morehead wins Parker 2320 SL Sport Cabin

After Hours Rotary Club and Parker Boat at The Friendly Market

 

Sonny Davis, of Morehead City, won the raffle drawing for the Parker 2320 SL Sport Cabin.  Mr. Davis operates the Captain Stacy Fishing Center in Atlantic Beach.  Robin Parker Wynne of Parker Boats drew the winning ticket during the annual Fall Festival at the Friendly Market in Morehead just after 3 pm on October 29th.  Mr. Davis was there to claim his prize.  The boat was donated to Crystal Coast Hospice House by Linwood and Trudy Parker of Parker Boats last June.

Oktoberfest

 

 

Libby at Oktoberfest

 

On Sunday October 16th we hosted our First Annual Oktoberfest celebration to "raise the roof" for the future CCHH serving Carteret, Craven, Onslow & Jones counties. Folks were able to sample German Food, Beer at Jack's Waterfront Bar and German/Polka music was provided by D.J. Steve Tulevech. Thank you Libby for putting on this great event!!
