Seminary Bound!
Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary
We are thrilled to announce that Rani was recently accepted into the Master of Arts in Islamic Studies program at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary! SWBTS is located in Fort Worth, Texas, about an hour drive from Plano. Rani is currently applying for financial aid and we are praying for the Lord's provision for this exciting opportunity. If all goes as planned, Rani will begin his studies this August.
The M.A. in Islamic Studies program takes about 2 years to complete. Although none of Rani's credits from his work at NETS (Nazareth Evangelical Theological Seminary) transferred at the Master's level, he is excited to have a "head start" in several similar classes at SWBTS.
Other exciting news: Hunter's Glen Baptist has extended an additional year-long contract to Rani in his current position as Missions Associate. He is looking forward to continuing his work with our wonderful American church family as he pursues his studies.
Please pray for Rani as he prepares for this next step in ministry education!
Israel Trip Aug 1- 24 We will be heading to Nazareth, Israel to visit family and connect with ministry partners this August 1-24. We are so excited about the trip, which will be Samuel's first experience with his Arab-Israeli hometown and his Arabic family. We will be investigating several ministry opportunities during our time in Nazareth as well as strengthening existing relationships. Please pray for safety and open doors.
Re-cap and Upcoming Events
May - Rani had the privilege to share with both the Chinese Baptist Church of Plano and the Russian Baptist Church of Plano. He enjoyed worshiping with both of these congregations and looks forward to another opportunity to serve with them. Please pray for the international church community of Plano, as they work to spread the Gospel among their friends and families.
