Happy Thanksgiving! This is such a wonderful time of year as we take time to count our blessings and give thanks to God for His amazing provision. Like many of you, we have MUCH to be thankful about this year. We hope each and every one of you enjoys a lovely Thanksgiving. We continue to give thanks for your support and encouragement. This Fall has been a difficult season for our family due to an untimely tragedy at our church, Hunter's Glen Baptist. Our pastor, Dr. Kim Hall, took his own life on October 22. He left behind a wife, two grown sons and two grandchildren. The news came as a terrible shock to our church family, the majority of whom were unaware that Bro Kim was secretly struggling. His death has been particularly hard on the church staff, who find themselves suddenly without a leader.

Bro Kim's ministry was vibrant and far-reaching. His vision to make HGBC an international community provided the opening for Rani to expand our ministry by teaching believers how to interact with the Arab community. He was a kind, generous man and an inspiring pastor and teacher. It has been difficult to see "the silver lining" in everything.

Despite the tragedy surrounding Bro Kim's death, there has been an amazing God-given strength emerging in our church. Members have come together to remember the many wonderful aspects of his life and the innumerable ways he touched the lives of those to whom he ministered. It's been a beautiful reminder of God's grace in every circumstance and a witness to the power of His Holy Spirit. A power that can transform even the darkest days to light with manifestations of His glory.

We are so thankful that we had the opportunity to know Bro Kim. Our very presence here in Plano is a testimony to his large vision and his desire to reach every people-group possible. We give thanks for his life, his sweet kindness and for his love for all people. Please be in prayer for his family as they continue to grieve his loss, and also remember our church family at Hunter's Glen during this difficult time.
