Newman Catholic Schools Scrip program is seeking back-up volunteers to work in the Sales Office on Mondays & Wednesdays for the summer. Duties include answering the phone and selling gift cards to walk-in customers. Computer skills helpful, but not necessary.
The office is located at NCS Central Office (St. Michael Parish location - 619 Stark Street).
Scrip is a fundraiser that allows NCS to purchase gift cards at a discount and sell at face value. Profit is used to support Newman Catholic Schools.
The IRS considers Scrip fundraising activities as a trade or business. The profits made from the activity are exempt from income tax when the number of volunteer hours is at least
85% of the total number of hours it takes to run the program.
The Scrip office will close when there is no volunteer available.
