Greetings Wonderful Newman Parents!
At the risk of saying it a few days early... Happy Easter! I am so excited to have journeyed through another Lent together with my community at home, at my Parish and here with my Newman family! I am excited about the 50 days of Easter coming up but today I'm looking forward most to the wonderful traditions of the Triduum that begin today. Please make a special effort to be a part of these most blessed and rich events with your family at your home Parishes. I hope your Parish will have a baptism on Saturday night at the Vigil, that always makes it even more special for me.
A few reminders in this week's 3p:
- 3rd quarter grades are now posted and up to date on Skyward. Please take this opportunity to celebrate the good work of our students with us.
- I also want to remind everyone about the special interactive visit coming up with the folk group, The Yamma Ensemble, visiting us from Israel. I highly recommend that you purchase tickets for their performance on Thursday evening, April 19th, at the Grand Theatre. Order forms were sent home with our Middle School students this week or you can use the following link: Yamma Order Form.
- Also remember that a super fun opportunity for a great evening is coming up at Cabin Fever on April 15th. I hear it's always a blast and a great way to support Newman Athletics. I'll see you there!
- The students have been enjoying the early institution of shorts at school. Please note that Athletic shorts are never allowed unless the day is specifically labeled a Comfy Day. Those are rare. Generally dress code shorts are the way to go.
Thank you Parents for all you do to support Newman and our fantastic students. I wish you a most genuine and Holy Triduum and a wonderful Easter Season!
