Featured Research Study
Philadelphia Autism Instructional Methods Study (AIMS) The Philadelphia Autism Instructional Methods Study (AIMS) is the largest autism intervention study ever conducted anywhere in the world. Through AIMS, CAR researchers are partnering with the School District of Philadelphia and other Philadelphia agencies to try to determine the best ways to move evidence-based autism interventions into practice. The overall goal of the study is to improve services for children on the autism spectrum. AIMS provides training to over 120 participating teachers and assistants in Kindergarten through 2nd grade autism support classrooms. Diagnostic assessments are administered twice a year to every participating child (over 320 children thus far) and the results are given to parents to help with educational planning.
