I would like to thank everyone who has sent in their pledge cards and contributions for the Across the Generations Capital Campaign. With your prompt attention, currently we have raised $2.6 million or 68% of our $3.8 million goal. I also want to thank the volunteers of the Parents Committee and the Heritage Staff - all working for the success of the campaign.
One of the most important, if not the most important element of our campaign is the opportunity to contact outside foundations for additional funding. In order to qualify for approximately $1.4 million from these foundations, we need to show 100% participation from our current families. This means that no gift is too small, and our success depends on participation.
If you have not yet sent in a pledge or gift, please consider doing so as soon as possible. Again, your participation is crucial to our success.
As our Campaign Chair, Otis Jones says, "Don't give until it hurts, give until it FEELS GOOD!".
If you have any questions about the campaign, please feel free to contact me at tjhockey@numail.org.
Thanks again & GO HAWKS! Toby Jeffreys Parent Campaign Chairman

Busy Middle School "Bees" | |
Heritage students M. Crymes (eighth grade, left) and S. Wilkins (seventh grade, right) will represent Heritage in the first round of the Georgia Independent Schools Association's Middle School Spelling Bee, an early qualifier for the Scripps National Spelling Bee. The first round will take place February 9 at Woodward Academy, where our students will compete with students from other GISA schools in the area.
Eighth grader, T. Pattiz, won this year's School championship of the National Geographic Bee. He has already taken the test to qualify for the State Bee, which will be held on March 30, 2012. The School will receive notification in early March as to whether he qualifies. Keep your fingers crossed!
Congratulations to these three talented students! |
