Pink Out Shirts Available Until November 29
This year's Pink Out basketball game is scheduled for December 10 against Calvary Christian.  Four games are scheduled for that day, beginning with the Middle School at 3:30 pm.  The proceeds from the gate, the sale of t-shirts, and any additional donations will be given to the Sue Verner Jones Foundation to aid and support Coweta County breast cancer victims and their families.  T-shirts must be pre-ordered by November 29.  Download the order form.
Sign Up for Intramurals by Tuesday, November 23

Heritage Intramural Basketball is open to boys and girls in Grades Four, Five, and Six. This program provides an excellent experience for our younger students to participate in an organized team sport. The program, now in its nineteenth year, is led by Mr. Jeff Stuart and Mr. J.P. Weaver, with members of the Heritage varsity basketball teams serving as coaches.

Prior to team-play, the students will participate in a week-long "mini-camp" so that the coaches may instruct the younger students in fundamental skills, rules of the game, and simple strategies.  This time also allows the coaches to evaluate the players prior to the draft.

Operation Christmas Child
Each year, the Key Club and ELC work together on a wonderful Christmas project called Operation Christmas Child.  The students are asked to bring in small items including toys, school supplies, toothbrushes and paste, socks, underclothes, and soap.  These goodies are packed in shoe boxes by the Key Club members and ELC children. The boxes are shipped to underprivileged children around the world by the Samaritan's Purse organization.  Heritage students have participated in Operation Christmas Child for the past ten years.  Students from high school to preschool are proud to be able to help needy children have a Merry Christmas.  Pictured from left to right are Lendy Johnston, Katharine Wendt, Mack Mikko, Tre Wheat, Connor Heindel, Callie Mitchell, and Jay Hutchinson.

Serving Others
The fourth graders serve as hosts for the Lower School assemblies.  This year, they are helping deliver our contributions to the Food Pantry.  Hosts for August, September, and October were Carson Barnett, Henry Arnall, Eric Brandner, William Bradley, Gray Burkhart, and Kenna Barbour.  Please help us reach our goal of 600 cans of food for the Food Pantry from Lower School before Thanksgiving.

Second Grade's Special Visitor
Mistress Smith, from the Jamestown Colony, came to visit "Miss" Michele's second grade class.  She brought useful herbs that our Second Grade Pilgrims need to pack for their long Mayflower voyage. The herbs will help them stay healthy, eat better, keep clean, look beautiful, and keep the bugs at bay. The Pilgrims will set sail on Tuesday, November 23.

Writing in the Woods

The beautiful wooded area of our campus was a source of inspiration for our seventh graders recently, who used the fall canopy as a creative muse for their writing.  Pictured are Gabby Freeman and Julianna Griffies.
