For the past twelve weeks, fifth grade students have participated in the S.A.F.E. program led by Lt. Stephen Crook. During this time, students learned about internet safety, the dangers of drugs and alcohol, and how to avoid violence. On May 13th, a graduation ceremony was held to recognize the hard work of these students over the last three months. The ceremony was attended by Sheriff Yeager, Corporal Hixon, and Investigator Lanier as well as Lt. Crook. Fifth grade students Bella Engel and Madeline Cole were recognized for their outstanding essays in which they pledged to remain drug and violence free. Leadership awards were also given to Kirby Arnall and Madeline Cole for their enthusiasm and dedication throughout the program. Congratulations, fifth graders, on a job well done! |
