MASK The Magazine's newest issue, Reboot and Reconnect: Rediscover the Power of the Family Connection, is currently on all Barnes & Noble store shelves in Arizona, as well as at Changing Hands bookstore (6428 South McClintock Dr, Tempe, AZ). With ideas on how you can make this summer break with your kids unforgettable, to tips on keeping communication lines open the whole year through, this issue issue is all about reconnecting as a family.

 

 

 

About MASK

MASK (Mothers Awareness on School-age Kids) is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization created in 2007 by a group of dedicated mothers who recognized the need to consistently educate parents and children on rapidly changing issues. MASK's mission is to educate parents and children about the issues facing our youth and to empower children to make safe, healthy choices.

It is through magazine advertisers and subscribers, fundraising events and donations that MASK is able to continue providing all of its programs free of charge to schools and communities throughout the Valley.

Scottsdale, AZ-- MASK (Mothers Awareness on School-age Kids) is promoting the new summer issue of its award-winning publication, MASK the Magazine on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at the Barnes and Noble at Desert Ridge Marketplace from 6:00pm-7:30pm.

 

The new issue, called Reboot and Reconnect: Rediscover the Power of the Family Connection, is all about the ways in which technology has affected family time and how parents can use the summer break to reconnect the family and strengthen communication. The issue is packed with valuable information and conversation starters for parents to use with their children from elementary school through high school.

 

The Barnes and Noble event will feature guest speakers Doug Ducey, Arizona State Treasurer; Dr. Dena Cabrera, Clinical Director, Rosewood Center for Eating Disorders; Lauren Daniels, 2012 MASK Unity Award recipient and founder of the Happily Ever After League; and Tanya Corder, Internet Crimes against Children Task Force of the Scottsdale Police Department. All guest speakers will be sharing their personal insights on communication, finding balance, and the importance of family time.

 

In conjunction with the promotion of the new magazine, MASK will also be holding a fundraiser at the California Pizza Kitchen restaurant at Desert Ridge from 11:00am until close. 20% of the total bill for every table that provides a MASK flier go directly to help fund MASK's awareness and prevention programs. Event attendees can pick up a flier at Barnes and Noble.

 

MASK the magazine is on sale at Barnes and Noble locations throughout the state as well as at Changing Hands Bookstore in Tempe.
