GET INVOLVED
gala

There are many ways to get involved with MASK and help make a difference.

Partnership & National Program

MASK is proud to announce our partnership with the Bsmart Foundation. The Bsmart foundation was started by Al Martin a former major league baseball player, who lost his son Brandon last year to prescription drug misuse. MASK in corroboration with Bsmart is working together to offer a FREE National Awareness Program.  Between these  two non-profits will offer a full circle of awareness, prevention, and tools, but also a chance to get help for those who have gone off track.

family Summer "Talking"

As parents we are always so excited for summer to hit, until it gets here.  We wonder what programs or camps will fill our kids days.  Summer is a great time to reconnect with your child, and engage in REAL conversations.  Ask yourself this question "when was the last time I had a meaningful conversation with my child?"  One that did not involve running from an activity, running through the fast food drive through, or just as you pick them up from school.

We all get the famous "nothing" response to questions we ask our kids, when all we want to do is find out how their day went!  Here's an idea to get the conversation flowing.

Chances are, once they start chatting they will open up and won't be able to stop!  Mission accomplished!

Here are some conversation starters.

Share one of your best memories from today(or your past).
What did you discover today that was unusual?
What did you do today that you are most proud of?
Come up with a short rap or poem that tells us something exciting that happened to you    today.
Tell us one thing you would change about today - maybe it was a mistake you made.  Talk about how you can be sure to not repeat it again in the future.

Statistics prove that if you talk with your kids about relevant issues it reduces their chances by 50% from making bad choices.

Finding out how they are and how they tick is where to start first.

When you can this Summer..stop...talk.. and enjoy your kids.

How to keep your kids safe.
