*New Holiday Wines*

 

          We just received some dynamite new wines just in time for the holiday season.  Some of these are in limited quantities so if you want to try them get in quick!

         

Seghesio Omaggio 2007 60% Sonoma County 40% Napa County $53.00

          Omaggio is Italian for homage.  The Seghesio's made this wine to honor their grandparents, who in 1895 began the family wine business.  Omaggio is a blend of Sangiovese from the oldest and most acclaimed Sangiovese vineyard in America, and hillside vineyards of Cabernet.  A lush, smooth Red wine that is sure to please.

 

Abigail Adams Cameo Pinot Noir 2008 Carneros $27.00

          A wonderful Burgundian style Pinot Noir with subtle hints of strawberries and raspberries.  Will be great for Thanksgiving.

 

Agustinos Chardonnay Rapel Valley Chili $9.00

          A very easy drinking wine with nice tropical fruit flavors and crisp acidity.  The price makes this a real value and the way it drinks, makes it a natural for Holiday get togethers.

 

B Cellars Blend 23 Napa Valley Chardonnay/Sauvignon Blanc/ Viognier $32.50

          A very good medium weight white blend, big enough for fall and winter and to pair with holiday foods. The Chardonnay and Viognier give it weight and depth with great flavors of peach and green apples and the Sauvignon Blanc keeps it crisp and adds pineapple and height pear, a great white.

 

Alvaro Palacios Camis del Priorat  2007 Spain $24.00

          One of the best value in wine I've found in quite a while.  Parker says, "A blend of 60% Carinena 30% Garnacha and the balance Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah aged 3-4 months in barrique followed by tank and cask aging. Deep crimson colored it offers a capturing nose of mineral, lavender, under brush, and black cherry.  Medium to full bodies on the palate it has excellent concentration. Plenty of sweet fruit, a forward personality, and a lengthy fruit filled finish.  It is a sensational value and a great introduction to Priorat." 91 points Parker
