True Grit Men's Retreat

AKYC Live Worship CD
The Live Worship Album 'My Reward' from AKYC is in! Thanks to all of the youth who were a part of the live choir that performed on the CD. If you would like to purchase additional copies of the CD, all the proceeds will go to missions. They are available at one for $15 or two for $25 on our website at www.akyouth.org. |

Fine Arts Festival
Fine Arts 2012 is coming up soon! We are excited to partner with the youth of Alaska to develop and deploy their talents. Fine Arts is going to be March 23-24th at Muldoon Community Assembly and registration forms are due by March 8th. Please check out our website at www.akyouth.org for more details.

Network Conference Preregistration
We are delighted to announce that we will be offering preregistration this year for Network Conference! Beginning March 1, you will be able to register for business at Network Conference, as well as purchase tickets for the Alaska Missions Banquet, activities for your kids, and various luncheons. We will then mail you the materials and you can skip the registration table at Network Conference! We are so excited about you preregistering online for Network Conference, that we are giving away a FREE IPAD! For all ministers who preregister online for Network Conference, your name will be entered into a drawing for a free IPad that will occur during business on Tuesday. You must be present to win! Preregistration will be available March 1 through April 13. We will be mailing out registration forms on March 1 that you can fill out and mail in, and you can also register at the Conference. But the only way you can win an IPad is to preregister online! |

Credentialing News
The AMN Credentialing team would like to take this opportunity to thank our ministers for your cooperation in the 2011/2012 renewal season. It is our goal to make the renewal process as smooth and painless as possible and we appreciate your prompt responses.
The National Resource Offices have worked hard to make online renewals available and it has been successful in helping our Network ministers renew more efficiently. The General Council
processed 93 AMN credential renewals online this year. That is a whopping 44%!
Please read the following reminders and feel free to contact the Alaska Ministry Network during regular business hours if you have any questions regarding this information.
- Certified Ministers will have voting privileges at the 2012 Alaska Ministry Network Conference.
- Ministers dues to the Alaska Ministry Network are now $62.50 monthly, or 80% of your ministerial tithe, whichever is greater, for all credential levels (credentialed spouse dues are still $10.00 per month).
- The 2012 Credential cycle begins May 1st. Pre-applications for new or upgrading applicants can be downloaded from the www.alaskaministrynetwork.org website under Resources.
- If your credential was inadvertently lapsed, reinstatement forms can be obtained at the Network Office. If the reinstatement form is completed by March 31, some of the fees and paperwork associated with reinstatement may be avoided.

From the Business Administrator
Do you ever have questions about the appropriateness of a contribution, payroll questions, or church financial issues? Do you ever wonder how long you should keep records? The General Council Treasurer's office has come out with some excellent resources with answers to these questions and more. They have given permission to me to share these with the Alaska Ministry Network ministers, and can be found under the Resources tab, church and ministry resources, on our website (link here). There are three documents: FAQ Personnel and Payroll, FAQ Donations, and FAQ Business Practices.
Have you signed up yet for MyNetwork? MyNetwork is the AMN online portal for ministers to view online
giving, calendars, directories, and give online. This is the means by which you will be preregistering for Network Conference. It is very easy to use and easy to sign up for. Go to the MyNetwork logo at the bottom of our website and begin. Click on "Need a login: Click here." Then simply follow the directions. This is a tool that will make it easier to share information and have instant access to up to date contact information for ministers. |
