| Summertime means Swimming |
|
Thinking of adding a POOL? There is a lot to think about.
-
Which interior rooms will overlook the pool? The winter view of a covered pool can be as important as the summer presence.
-
Is the kitchen door closeby? Welcome wet bathing suits as little swimmers pop in and out?
-
Which shape works best? Keep the architecture of the house in mind.
-
How to integrate the pool into the garden?
-
Need shade? Include a pergola, shade structure or umbrella?
-
Do you catch the summer breeze from the new patio?
- What's the best view when lounging poolside? Furniture?

| HYDRANGEAS: For a GREAT SUMMER SHOW in partial shade
Lazy Gardeners always welcome Fabulous Color with Minimal Effort when the temperature heats up. Hydrangeas are available in many delicious forms. A couple of my favorites.
Oak Leaf Hydrangea tucked under a large Oak in my back yard: try Snow Queen or Alice
Lace Cap Hydrangeas: I love Blue Wave and Blue Bird. This one is in my Shade Garden.
Annabelle, Glowing Embers and the newer Endless Summer keep on blooming. These old fashioned Macrophyllas are hard to beat and add summer punch to a shrub border. |
