Greetings!

Merry Christmas, from our family to yours.  What a wonderful year it has been.  We have been having so much fun visiting all the Maui hotels, though we only got about half way through our list.  The original intention was to stay at 12 hotels in 12 months.  OK, that didn't work out as I couldn't squeeze it all in.  So, my resolution for 2011 is to finish my list of the next 6 Maui Hotels.

What we have discovered is that my kids love hotels, pools, special amenities sent to the room and eating out.  More specifically, breakfast buffets.  However, I have discovered that breakfast buffet and bikini do not go together.

As you may know, I grew up in Minnesota and I remember having white Christmas, snowball fights, putting bread bags on my feet to keep them dry in the boots, falling face first (or being pushed) into a snow pile, and ice skating with really weak ankles.  Now, can you really blame me for choosing to live in sunny, warm Maui?  As I watched the roof of the Metrodome collapse with the 17 inches of snow, I know I made a great decision.

I wish all of you JOY, this Christmas season and much HAPPINESS in the New Year.

Kay, Jake, Maya and Aaliyah

Maya

Maya is 11 years old and full of energy.  She is a smart young lady and gets great grades.    Maya had a great soccer season this year, figuring out how to actually get those legs to connect with the ball for multiple goals each game.  Now she is trying a new sport, basketball.  She is definitely going to be tall enough.
Jake

Jake is now 15 years old.  He had a great year in football, half on the JV team and bumped up to the Varsity team mid-season.
You may find Jake on occasion working on one of the Trilogy snorkel trips as a deck hand.  Part time job during weekends and school breaks.
Aaliyah

Aaliyah is 9 years old.  She loves to dance and sing all day long.  She simply loves music.  This year she returned to soccer and renewed her love of the game.  definitely a team player.  She had been recruited by the girls softball team and is diligently learning the game and skills.
