Dear Concord Families,
A couple of updates as we come down the home stretch of this school year:
CONCORD CARNIVAL
What a great event on Friday night! My arm is still sore after facing the powerful Concord students in the arm wrestling room.
We are excited to report that we made over $14,000 for technology, playground equipment and classroom support. Please see the PTO website for how the money raised is put to good use at Concord.
Thank you to all of our volunteers, sponsors, donors and attendees! This is a wonderful community full of support! The carnival is just one example of why the Concord is a great place for learning.
We have a few notes:
- Please pick up your raffle redemption in the office if you have not already done so.
- Please return your Looney loot buckets for more loot next year
- If you wish to make a last chance purchase of the carnival t-shirt, we will take pre-paid orders by Friday May 11. Click here to access the order form.
VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION / PTO GENERAL MEETING
Thursday, May 10th at 9:00 am in the MultiPurpose Room we will have a chance to say Thank You to our volunteers who have helped with anything and everything at Concord this year This includes such duties as the carnival, Family Service Night, welcoming kindergartners off the bus, making copies, helping kids with reading and even cleaning up the courtyard. Concord would not be the school it is without the partnerships of our volunteers.
The appreciation will kick off with a song from our 4th graders as well as a Thank You video from the classrooms. The appreciation will roll into the general PTO meeting in which the 2012-13 board will be nominated and voted upon. Updates on a variety of items will follow. We hope you can attend.
