Concord Families,
I want to share with you a couple of updates as we make our way through February.
Winter Extravaganza
As we continue with our Extravaganza experiences, today our focus was around bullying. Each of our grade levels had a chance to see a performance by CLIMB Theatre. Our specialist teachers then facilitated some thinking and processing of what the students observed and how we can all help Concord be a kind and safe place for learning.
Our K, 1, 3 and 4 students saw a performance titled "Bugs" while our grade 2 and 5 students attended a performance titled "The Bystander".

Please talk with your child about what the experienced today. The partnerships that exist between home and school help make Concord a quality place for kids.
Our extravaganza experiences not only provide some positive experience for student but allow our grade level teams two hours of time to collaborate and grow around topics ranging from student data analysis to technology integration.
Science Fair
I was amazed at the creative and detailed science fair entries this year. The student participation was fabulous and I know that doesn't happen without support from families. Thank you for your continued support of connecting the learning from school to home and back again!
Conferences
The 2011-12 school year has a new opportunity for all families to conference with their child's teacher. In years past, we have not had enough time to conference with all families and thus the spring conferences were often seen as optional. We hope you take this time to connect with your child's teacher. Look for a conference sign up invitation coming soon from your child's teacher if you have not already received one.
Stay Warm!
