My typical day at GSKH looks like this: BUSY, BUSY, BUSY! Customer service to volunteers is top priority so that the girls can experience Girl Scouting to the fullest - so I strive to have a good relationship with all of the volunteers in my area.
I always try to understand where people coming from, and why they do things the way they do. From this, I can incorporate each volunteer into a position on the LEAD Team that best fits him or her.
If I'm not here, you would find me: Outdoors! Living in the country, there is always something outdoors to do. On weekends, you find me helping my husband with chores on the farm. But, there is time for fun too. We enjoy taking a long cycle trip (that is, motorcycle) annually with a group of friends. We just came back from Bryce Canyon. Utah was beautiful!
Why I believe in Girl Scouts: I believe in Girl Scouts because through the GSLE (Girl Scout Leadership Experience) every girl develops life skills, discovers who she is and what she can do. She learns that she can make a difference in the world around her. And, the life-long friendships that are made along the way are priceless.
