Incentive - Girl Scouts in Kansas have long enjoyed special Service Unit day-camps and other programs organized by council volunteers! This summer, we have a NEW CHALLENGE, open to all GSKH Service Units who plan and host an event, series, or camp before August 15. Recruit 5 or more new girls and 1 or more new adult to join Girl Scouts, and the program planning volunteers will be entered in a drawing for a special 100th Anniversary girl package! Please complete the challenge form after the event. Contact your MVP Specialist with any questions.
Request - Girl Scouts, let's use our resources wisely. If you've planned a program for your Service Unit, please share your outline so that other Service Units can plan similar events. Outlines can be sent to your MVP Specialist or your regional GSKH office!

Get to know your council support
My role within the Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland: Providing customer service to girls, parents, and volunteers with the assistance of a terrific Shop Team.
My best Girl Scout activity memory: As a volunteer, directing an event called Wiedemann Whirl for Junior Girl Scouts. The girls came out on Friday night and stayed through Sunday to learn outdoor skills and participate in camp activities.
When I'm not here, you can find me: Working in my yard, watching my grandchildren at their sports activities, or assisting with my granddaughter's Brownie Troop.

Volunteer Opportunities in Wichita on July 28
Looking for a way to get involved?
 Our annual Wichita area Mall Madness is just weeks away, and girls are getting excited. We are in need of volunteers to help with this fun event at Towne West Mall on Saturday, July 28! Most positions will be from 9-12 p.m., with a few spots starting at 5 p.m. We need volunteers to run activities, check-in participants, staff the volunteer center, distribute t-shirts, setup and tear-down, and "guard" the doors. We also need several certified First-Aiders on site (you must be certified in First Aid and CPR or work as medical professional). Online Registration
Parents and Troop Leaders both can complete Girl Scout Membership registration ONLINE. To use the new system for the first time, anyone who has ever been a registered Girl Scout through GSKH, or the parent of a registered Girl Scout, must ACTIVATE their account through the online system. Only those who have never been entered into the GSKH system need to choose "Create a new account."
Troop Leaders: if you register or re-register troop members through the online system, please continue to collect a paper registration form with a parent/guardian signature for girl registrations, and an adult's own signature for adult registrations. Indicate on the form that the registration has been submitted online. These forms can be turned in to your closest GSKH office or mailed directly to the Wichita Girl Scout Center. Remember, the online registration system gives troop leaders quick and easy access to their troop roster, and also allows for simple payment using a credit or debit card. If you have questions, contact your MVP specialist or our online registration help desk.
