A Special Volunteer Shout Out
From Lisa in Hays
I made new friends while keeping the old at the 100th Anniversary, Girl Scouts go Greensburg, last month. Young and old, male and female, I had the great honor of getting to know and work with some of the most amazing volunteers that Kansas has to offer.
Madelyn Baxter, Vanessa Bell, Jacob Dolezal, Lilly Dolezal, Vernon Dolezal, Rachel Harness, Sue Jorns, Angelique Libby, LaVeta Noble, Donna Stejskal, Laura Baxter, Muriel Berry, Marlo Dolezal, Linda Mills, Laura Rethorst, Charlene Versch, Carol Wehmeyer, Calla Wiemeyer and Patty Williams. There were also many, many of you who appeared out of nowhere to help stuff bags. Amazing! And I don't want to forget the lovelies, Lois Orchard and Kay Vowels, who reminded me what a SWAP was all about! So as each member of the Greensburg Committee fights for the honor of "I had the best team of volunteers" spot, the ladies and gentlemen of Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland have proven once again, that we truly have the best volunteers in the state of Kansas. You leave no doubt that we will have another 100 years of success! Thank You All for your great support and energy in the registration area of this event. You made ALL the difference! Online Registration
Early Bird Registration by June 30 for special incentives!
All girls who register for the 2013 Girl Scout year by June 30, 2012 will receive $5 in cookie credits and a special Early Bird patch. Adults can also receive the Early Bird patch upon request.
Parents and Troop Leaders both can complete Girl Scout Membership registration ONLINE. To use the new system for the first time, anyone who has ever been a registered Girl Scout through GSKH, or the parent of a registered Girl Scout, must ACTIVATE their account through the online system. Only those who have never been entered into the GSKH system need to choose "Create a new account."
Troop Leaders: if you register or re-register troop members through the online system, please continue to collect a paper registration form with a parent/guardian signature for girl registrations, and an adult's own signature for adult registrations. Indicate on the form that the registration has been submitted online. These forms can be turned in to your closest GSKH office or mailed directly to the Wichita Girl Scout Center. Remember, the online registration system gives troop leaders quick and easy access to their troop roster, and also allows for simple payment using a credit or debit card. If you have questions, contact your MVP specialist or our online registration help desk.
