Pearls of Wisdom
Quick Tips on Celebrating World Thinking Day
Try these when planning your activities:
- Try foods from around the world.
- Learn a traditional song or greeting from another country.
- Host a multi-cultural potluck: each girl is assigned a county and they make a dish from that country.
- Find a GS troop in another country and become pen pals.
*From Wichita Area Volunteers: Sandy Means, Heather Manganiello, and Melissa Losey
In 1914, Juliette Gordon Low sold her pearls to fund the cost of expanding the Girl Scout movement across the United States. It is a symbol of personal sacrifice and sharing. Do you have your own pearls of wisdom to share? Send them to Holly Slawkowski

Calling All Campers
We need camping experts at Greensburg
Girl Scouts from across Kansas are descending onto Greensburg, KS April 28-29 for our 100th anniversary celebration. Our Council will be celebrating a century of Girl Scout traditions while including new initiatives and fun activities! The weekend will be packed full of fun games and entertainment, exhibits and booths, educational programs, camping, community service projects and much more!
