Introducing GS101
A new and improved training for volunteers!
Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) has updated and streamlined two former online trainings into one new online training called Girl Scouting 101. Beginning now (December 2011/January 2012), we will just have two required trainings for new leaders, GS101 (online), and Intro to Troop Managements, scheduled with your MVP Specialist or a Service Unit volunteer. Volunteers who have taken the previous two trainings will not be required to go back and complete GS101, but new volunteers should begin with GS101 now.
Girl Scouting 101 introduces new volunteers to Girl Scouts' to Journey resources and The Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting, along with cookie sales, safety guidelines, and much more. The training should take about 45 minutes to complete, and you can find it at training.girlscouts.org. You will need to enter the password: aboutGS101.
