Peace Action Montgomery
Dear Friend for Peace,
Over the past decade, war with Iran was barely averted on several occasions. Today we are in another extraordinarily dangerous time. Accusations and threats could easily lead to a devastating new war.

Join us for an important discussion with two well-known writer-activists and let's talk about what we can do to prevent such a catastrophe.

Iran and the U.S.: What's Really Going On?
Wed., Feb. 29, 7 p.m.
21 Maryland Ave., Rockville

Our speakers are Ray McGovern and Dr. Younes Benab. Read more here.  We hope to see you Wednesday night!

Our Letter to Congress on Iran

We have contacted the members of our Congressional delegation, making the case that a preemptive US or Israeli attack on Iran would be wrong and illegal. You can read our letter here. We hope you will also contact your senators and representative and urge them to resist the pressure for war. Congress needs to hear that the American people will not accept another disastrous "preemptive" war.

You can also ask your member of Congress to sign onto a bipartisan letter to President Obama, introduced by Rep. Keith Ellison and Rep. Walter Jones, urging diplomacy, not war, with Iran. The letter calls on the administration to "utilize all available tools of diplomacy to resolve the crisis over Iran's nuclear program and prevent another costly war in the Middle East."  Click here to urge your representative to sign the Ellison-Jones letter and to speak out for diplomacy, not war, with Iran.

In peace and solidarity,

Adrienne, Alex, Dave, Fran, Jean, Karen, Larry, Mel, Melinda,  Mike, Nik, Pam, Pat, Shelley, Steve, Sue, Tim
