Our seventh annual Rein in Sarcoma Garage sale will be held this Thursday and Friday, September 13th and 14th with special advanced Sales for RIS supporters on Wednesday, September 12th from 2:00 pm till 7:00 pm. This will be our biggest and best sale ever with thousands of dollars of new and gently used merchandise.

 

The RIS Garage sale has received contributions from many families which has resulted in a huge variety of new and gently used quality items. Items include: furniture, household items, tools, small electronics, children's items, toys, books, movies, art and much more. Best of all 100% of profits benefit sarcoma cancer research!

 

The RIS Garage Sale is centrally located at 3312 Richmond Avenue in Shoreview.  So be sure to attend! RIS Garage Sale Hours:

  • Wednesday, Sept 12th - 2:00 - 7:00 pm - Exclusively for RIS supporters and your friends!
  • Thursday, September 13th - 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Friday, September 14th - 9:00 am - 5:00 pm with Bag sale starting at 4:00 pm

Red Flags Parade

The Red Flags of Sarcoma Educational Campaign is officially underway.  This multi-year initiative will strive to significantly increase earlier and proper diagnosis of sarcoma cancers, thereby increasing sarcoma survival rates by as much as 20%.  If you want to join our efforts to inform the public and the medical community about the "warning signs" of sarcoma cancers, join us by signing up today! 

 

The Red Flags Campaign is a cooperative effort of Rein in Sarcoma and physicians from the University of Minnesota and Children's Hospital and Clinics of Minnesota.  Learn more....     

Richfiled RIS Garage Sale Leadership

We congratulate the St. Pierre family for once again coming up with a new way to support Rein In Sarcoma. Their latest effort is to sell unique and sought-after merchandise on Craig's List and donate the proceeds to Rein In Sarcoma.  

 

Jean and Mary Jo St. Pierre donated $110 to RIS from the sale of their items.  It's easy, free, and you even get a tax deduction for your donated proceeds!   We will support you in any way we can to support RIS!  For more info and assistance on planning a planning a RIS Fundraiser, click here. 

 
Childrens Cancer Awareness
Of Note
  •  Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
September has been selected as Childhood Cancer Awarenss Month by the Childhood American Childhood Cancer Organization. Both the U of M Amplatz Children's Hospital and the Minnesota Children's Hospitals and Clinics are doing a number of public events to recognize this effort. Sarcomas are among the most common of Childhood cancers. Please help Rein in Sarcoma to continue to support sarcoma research and support for those affected by sarcoma through your donations and volunteer efforts.

Charities Review Council Standards The Karen Wyckoff Rein in Sarcoma Foundation is the primary sarcoma cancer foundation in the upper Midwest. Our goals are to fund research that may find a cure for sarcoma cancers, to provide education for medical personnel and the public, and to support patients and their loved ones.  We are an all-volunteer non-profit organization, which allows over 96% of our revenues to directly support our mission!
