Welcome to our 2012 Party in the Park, where we will celebrate life, honor loved ones and establish connections that feed everything else RIS seeks to accomplish. We also will raise, in this one night, significant money for the work we do yearround.
This year's Party is Monday evening, July 23 at Como Park in St. Paul. The free picnic for patients, survivors and families begins at 4:30 pm. At 6:00, the Dirty Shorts Brass Band will lead us in an opening ceremony, followed by carousel rides, children's games, Sarcoma Corner, more music by Ross Sutter, Laura MacKenzie, Danielle Enblom and of course the Silent Auction. Fabulous items will be available for your generous bids, which allow RIS to do so much. And you'll want to stay for our closing ceremony, with gorgeous songs by Tonia Hughes and Rachael Kroog. Registration begins June 1, and the complete program lineup will be announced then.
I want to close by thanking my outstanding Team Leads. I thought hard before saying YES, because I take the RIS mission so seriously. I've been amazed by the talent, dedication and professional work our volunteer team does. View their contact information and sign up to join them by clicking here. Or, you may wish just to send them a note of thanks. I surely do.
All my best. Christin

Each of us has a story to tell about our own sarcoma journey.
Sarcoma Stories are firsthand accounts from sarcoma patients, survivors, and loved ones honoring the lives of deceased sarcoma patients. You may have faced sarcoma like Kraig pictured here, or as a teenager or adult.
As a sarcoma survivor or patient you can be a source of inspiration, education and hope for a newly-diagnosed patient.
You can easily write and place your story on our website or develop a storyboard to display at Sarcoma Corner at our "Party in the Park" July 23rd. To learn how and read other stories, click here. |
