Come join with sarcoma survivors, patients, their immediate families and
those who have lost someone to sarcoma to laugh, talk, and be fed! Our next "Fall Gathering" will be this
Sunday, October 10th from 2:00 - 4:30 pm at French
Lake Park in Plymouth."
During the afternoon we will have a chance to visit, share stories,
hopes, and concerns. Entertaining us will be soulful Latin American and
American jazz guitarist Rob Everest. City Pages wrote of Rob: "Everest has one of those delicately soothing voices, like Michael Franks or Paul
Simon. And his gentle Latin American folk-pop tunes are imbued with a subtle
complexity reminiscent of Gilberto Gil or Milton Nascimento." To learn more about Rob, visit his website. To Sample Rob's music, click here.
French
Lake Park is a beautiful regional park with wonderful trails and an
amazing playground. So come early and stay late. Families with Children
are warmly welcome. Fall themed refreshments will be a highlight of the afternoon. The 2010 RIS Fall Gathering is sponsored by "Pulse," the Christin Garcia fund. For more information including a map and directions to the Clifton E French Regional Park, click here. The RIS gathering is a free event, but registration is requested on-line by clicking here, or by calling Sue Wyckoff at 651-486-9114 or Christin Garcia at 612-766-7305.

The second annual Race for Grace was held Saturday,
August 7th, at Johny Walker Park in Apple Valley. All proceeds from the Race for Grace benefited
Rein in Sarcoma. Three hundred people walked and ran to support Grace and sarcoma research. Over $24,200 was enthusiastically raised for RIS in tribute to Grace Nelson (in the center of the picture at left).
Thank you to the inspiring young organizers, led by Aubree Tsurusaki, for proving that "Love and Hope" do in deed go "Hand in Hand"! To see the the 2010 Race for Grace Video click here.

Re-live this Year's "Party in the Park"!
This
year's event was our most successful ever with over 1,200 attending. We

You will see their work displayed on our website and in materials during
the coming year. To see a sideshow of this year's event, click here.
Thanks
to volunteer and professional photographer, Erin Clemens, our first ever
RIS "Party in the Park" event video is now available (click here). The six minute video includes live performances by Dick and Jane's Big Brass Band Band (right) and Jill Holly with Rachel Kroog.

While the agencies supported by programs are all extraordinary, some of you may want to use such employee giving as an opportunity to give directly to Rein in Sarcoma. Because of our size, RIS does is not currently a member of in any of these federated campaigns. However the good news is you can give directly to Rein in Sarcoma though many of these Campaigns including United Way, Community Shares. Here's how... Read More... |
