Riding the CarouselThanks for an Evening to Remember!
Over 1,000 people from at least eight states gathered together at Como Park on July 26th to make the 10th "Party in the Park" our best ever. Over the course of just five hours the entire mission of Rein in Sarcoma was on glorious display.
  • We furthered our efforts to find cures for sarcoma cancers by raising over $70,000 for sarcoma research!
  • We provided support for sarcoma patients/ survivors and their loved ones with a free family picnic attended by over 450 people.
  • We supported newly diagnosed sarcoma patients with the production and release of the 3rd Edition of the Rein in Sarcoma Patient Starter Notebook with separate versions for the University of Minnesota and Children's Hospital. This manual is the only one of its kind available nationally to sarcoma patients.
  • We provided critical education by launching a new sarcoma  education campaign in cooperation with all 40 district CVS/Caremark Pharmacies and a greatly expanded Sarcoma Corner at the event.
The evening was filled with big happenings such as the Opening Tribute Ride, the Closing Ceremony, Jill Holly Entertainsand continuous great entertainment in between and with smaller moments like having your face painted, building bird houses, or reading the sarcoma stories of both young and old.

Our thanks to all the Rein In Sarcoma sponsors, particularly our first Presenting Sponsor, CVS/Caremark Pharmacies.

And the fun isn't over as a few select items are now on our August Internet Auction. The August Auction runs on our website and on EBay through 7:00 pm CDT, Wednesday, August 11th.  Read more....

Volunteers at Picnic Volunteers Made it Happen!

Our success at this year's Party in the Park was a direct result of a core staff of 40+ volunteers who planned the event and over 270 "day of event" volunteers who pitched in to set up the venues, serve our picnic, staff the dozens of activities, cleaning up and packing up.

To those who loyally return every year and to those new friends including over 70 CVS Pharmacy Employees who joined us at this year's event...A Heartfelt THANK YOU!!

All event volunteers are invited to our Volunteer Celebration and Potluck to be held on Thursday, August 12th at the Wyckoff''s (3312 Richmond Avenue, Shoreview, MN 55126) starting at 6:00 pm. It will be a time for good food, great fun, a sideshow of this year's event, awards, and a chance to help us evaluate Rein in Sarcoma 2010. Please bring an appetizer, salad, main dish, or dessert with you to share.
