2009 PicnicIf you are a Sarcoma patient, survivor, or have lost a relative to Sarcoma, we invite you and close loved ones to join us for a celebration of life, caring, and a plain old "good time" at the Sarcoma Family Picnic directly before the 10th Annual "Party in the Park". The Picnic is free thanks to the continued sponsorship of American Family Insurance.   

Join others to share common experiences, to gain and offer support. Sarcoma doctors and researchers from the University of Minnesota as well as Children's Hospital will also be there to socialize and visit informally. You can now bid and win at Rein In Sarcoma's Internet Auction now open through July 24th. Our Internet Auction features a great sampling of the over 300 items expected at this year's live silent auction at  the "Party in the Park". From vacations and art work to computers and gift certificates, it's all available on our Internet Auction!  Our "absentee bidding"  even allows you to bid at the live silent auction, even if you can't be present! Ann Mulaney and Kyle Roos discuss sarcoma education program CVS PROMOTES SARCOMA EDUCATION
As part of a groundbreaking medical education campaign, over 40 CVS/Pharmacy Store Managers and their District Managers participated in a breakfast forum on behalf of the Karen Wyckoff Rein in Sarcoma Foundation (RIS) on June 30th.

CVS/Pharmacy, the Presenting Sponsor of RIS 2010 "Party in the Park", is committed to building awareness on behalf of their customers and their community, regarding these rare, but frequently misdiagnosed, aggressive cancers that often strike children and young adults.  Read more.

Rein in SarcomaINTERNATIONAL SARCOMA AWARNESS WEEK & RIS
RIS will be joining with over 16,000 participants in over 24 countries to promote sarcoma awareness week which  runs from July 18 to 25th.  Our Tribute Carousel Ride of Sarcoma patients and survivors at the "Party in the Park"  will be an official closing event of International Sarcoma Awareness week.

RIS Raffle: $1,000 or Apple iPad!
iPadThe 2010 RIS Raffle will include a grand prize of $1,000 in cash and a second prize of an Apple iPad!  Raffle tickets are now available for distribution. Several new items in the Sunflower Shoppe at RIS 2010 on July 26th will feature the beauty of "The Lemon Queen," by acclaimed photographer and cancer survivor Greg Murphy.

Items include commemorative T-Shirts in three colors (kiwi, butter yellow and chestnut brown), commemorative posters (both framed and unframed), coffee mugs and laminated bookmarks.

Race For Grace 2010
Join us in support of the Second Annual "Race For Grace" which is set for Saturday, August 7th at the Johnny Cake Ridge Park (East side) in Apple Valley, MN.

The Race will again feature a 1 Mile walk/run and a 5K walk/run. Last year's first Race for Grace attracted over 400 participants and raised over $33,000 for Rein in Sarcoma!  This year's goal is 600 participants and $40,000 in support of Rein in Sarcoma. Read more....

The Karen Wyckoff Rein in Sarcoma Foundation is the primary sarcoma cancer foundation in the upper Midwest. Our goals are to find a cure for sarcoma cancers through funding research, education for medical personnel and the public and patient support.
