We have just one month to go until the 10th Annual Rein in Sarcoma "Party in the Park" on Monday, July 26th at Como Park. Please help make this event a great success by - Getting auction items for the silent auction
- Spreading the word about the event, and
- Volunteering at the event!

Volunteer Opportunities At the "Party in the Park"
|
The 10th Annual
Rein in Sarcoma "Party in the Park" offers
opportunities for individuals, families and
groups to
volunteer their time and energies to help up
make this
event a success. We need your help in
promoting the
July 26th event and in assisting with the
activities
that day. We
will need 200 volunteers
in many capacities on the day of the event. Volunteer are needed for set-up from noon to
4, and
for take-down from 9-11 that night, but our
biggest
need is for volunteers to assist with event
activities
from 6 until 9 pm. If you have not
completed a volunteer form this year, or would
like to
modify your volunteer options, we ask you to sign up on the Day of Event Volunteer Form so that we
will
have up to-date info on you and your volunteer
interests.

Donate or Secure a RIS Silent Auction Item!
|
With your
help,
we can make this year's RIS Silent Auction the
largest
ever! Initial deadline for getting
auction items is this Wednesday, June 30th!*
We have a goal of raising $25,000 at
this
year's Silent Auction so we will need all the
help we
can get! You can help by securing auction
items,
and by setting up and and assisting at the
auction
itself. This year we have six locations to

what to say in approaching a store manager or
someone
to donate an auction item? We
can help! Read on...
The RIS
Internet
Auction will be launched on Monday, July 5th,
and will
include for the first time a simultaneous EBay
Auction
on select items. The July
RIS Update, which will be
distributed on
July 5th, will have all the
details! * OK, while it would
really, really help to have all your items by
30th to take full advantage of the Internet
Auction,
and so that Jason and Pete will not go
totally nuts, if can't get items to us by the
30th, we
will gratefully and cheerfully accept items up
through, Monday, July 19th. But please hurry!

Share the RIS
story with your family and friends and help us
reach out the community to ask them to support
our cause. Everyone can help, in many small
ways.
We have RIS 2010 "Party in the Park" posters
for
distribution. Display them at your office,
church or
wherever else you can think to put them.
Our
small flier about the event has important
information
about the sarcoma "red flags" that may alert
people to
this often missed and misdiagnosed cancer. You
can make copies of this flier to give to your
friends,
neighbors and colleagues by printing them on
your home
printer using the RIS Flier PDF. Click here..

RIS Raffle: $1,000 or an Apple iPad!

The 2010 RIS
Raffle will include a grand prize of $1,000 in cash and a second prize of
an Apple IPad! Raffle tickets are now available for distribution.
Tickets are just $5. Last year we made over $6,000 on the raffle, and we
hope to do even better this year- but we need your help to meet our goal.. Our thanks for the continuing support
of Building Arts Sustainable Architecture and Construction who has become our
