"All Hands" Meeting - June 10 You're Invited!
|
With just weeks to go before the big event this All Hands meeting will set us on course for the most successful "Party in the Park" ever! We need YOU to join us for the final planning meeting. We need enthusiasm, ideas, and workers to make this 10th Annual Event the best ever. Come join in the excitement. Together we can take another step toward a World Without Sarcoma.
Special Bonus: Attendees at this meeting will be the first to know all the insider details about the entertainment and program for this year's event and get a sneak preview of this year's auction items.
This final "All Hands" meeting is Thursday June 10th. Social time with great food starts at 6:30; the meeting itself runs from 7:00 until 9:00 pm. The meeting will be at Wyckoff's house at 3312 Richmond Avenue, Shoreview. Let's prove together that "many hands make light work" Click here to learn more and to sign up. |
Volunteer Opportunities Now and on July 26
|
The 10th Annual Rein in Sarcoma "Party in the Park" offers great volunteer opportunities for individuals, families and groups. We need you now to help plan, organize, and promote the Monday evening, July 26th event. We will need close to 200 volunteers in many capacities on the day of the event, with volunteers needed from about noon until midnight. At the moment we have particular needs for help on children's arcade games (shifts between 6:00 and 9:00) and the late shift (9:15 pm on) for clean up. If you have not completed a volunteer form this year, we ask that everyone sign up, so we can have up to-date info on you and your volunteer interest for the event. To learn more and to register to volunteer for RIS 2010 now or on the day of the event, click here. |
Donate or Secure a RIS Silent Auction Item
|
With your help, this year's RIS Silent Auction ever will be the largest ever! We have a goal of $25,000 for this year's Auction so we will need all the help we can get! You can help by securing great auction items, setting up and and assisting at the auction itself. New this year, we have six locations to drop off auction items. Click here for 2010 Auction Drop off locations. At a loss for words for what to say in approaching a store manager or someone to donate an auction item? We're here to help! Read on...

Get the Word Out!
|
Share the celebration with your family and friends, and help us reach the community. Everyone can help, in many small ways. We will have RIS 2010 Party in the Park posters for distribution at the June 10th "All Hands" meeting. Come and take some for your office, church or wherever else you can think to put them. Long time sponsor, Park Midway Bank will be mailing RIS Bank stuffers to all its customers this month which contain information about the red flags that may alert people to this often missed and misdiagnosed cancer. Get these at the June 10th meeting and give them to your friends and neighbors.
We would love to have Twitter and Facebook coordinators, so please let us know if you have the gift for pith.
Do you have any major media contacts, or would you be willing to reach out? Watch for suggestions about how to use your personal networks, and plan to include information about the event in your local and community newsletters. |
