Welcome to our January  RIS Newsletter. In this issue you will find information about upcoming events including our February RIS Gathering,  the kick off meeting for Rein in Sarcoma 2010, and the RIS mini medical school.
RIS Gatherings are free to sarcoma patients, survivors and their loved ones as well as for persons who have lost a family member to sarcoma. Because of the interest in seeing Scott, this particular Gathering is also open to all RIS supporters.

The February 21st event begins at 2:00 with a performance designed for all ages by nationally known juggler, comedian and sarcoma survivor, Scott Burton.

Scott presents internationally with an inspiring and laughter-filled performance that calls for humanity and passion (on both sides of the stethoscope) throughout the cancer battle. Following the performance Scott will co-facilitate an interactive discussion with the attendees on various aspects of the sarcoma journey.  Refreshments and social time will follow.

The event is being held in the Heritage Room of Bachman's Gardening Center, 6010 Lyndale Ave South, Minneapolis.  Sarcoma Survivor Ruth Bachman and her husband Dale are generously providing this space.  The event is provided free of charge.  To learn more about this event, Scott Burton and to register, click here.
