Greetings!

Rain, Rain Come Again...
The dry, hot weather is forecast to continue until late October, by some sources.  So what can you do?  If you want to keep your lawn green, you will have to continue watering up to 6 times per week during the extreme heat.  As we mentioned in our last newsletter, you can hit the manual cycle button, and increase the seasonal adjust to keep your grass looking green.  Watering in the early morning or late evening hours is best for the health of your Lawn.

Is Your Lawn Brown?
Don't get too worried.  Your lawn hasn't died, it's just gone dormant.  The grass will come back once it gets water regularly again.

In the meanwhile, if your lawn has gone dormant, try to keep off the grass as much as possible, to keep from damaging the crowns.  And if Mother Nature doesn't give us the rain, make sure you water about ¼" every 2 to 3 weeks to help your lawn survive during dormancy.

It's That Time of Year Again.

Can You Believe It?

Trees Can Attack!

Can You believe it?
People often wonder what happens when sprinkler heads no longer  have enough pressure to pop up on a certain zone.  While it could be one of several issues causing the problem, many times  its due to tree roots that grow around sprinkler lines. Eventually when the roots get big enough, they can completely cut off the water flow by crushing the poly line carrying the water to the head.  If it is a smaller tree, we can replace a line as needed.  But if it is a large tree, it's usually most cost effective to run a new line around the roots and re-connect the heads.

If you happen to be planting a new tree and you find a sprinkler line, we advise you to move the tree over a few feet away from that line.  We know, no one wants to dig a second hole after you managed to finish digging the first one.  But a few years down the road you could be saving yourself a huge headache and a big repair bill.
