In Honor of St Patrick's Day, $ave $ome GREEN
We're offering a GREEN custom-fitted and installed Insulated Backflow Cover for just $69 (A savings of $10)
So why would you want a backflow cover ?
Once we have had a few warm days, many of our customers are eager to start using their sprinklers in early April. However, when there's water in the outside exposed pipes and night-time temps dip below 32 degrees it can be a recipe for disaster with expensive repair bills. These reusable plastic-coated insulated covers are specifically designed to protect your backflow device against occasional night-time freezing temps. We cut them to fit your particular backflow device and, depending on your situation, we may use some foam pipe covering for any exposed pipes below the backflow device.
Once the threat of night-time freezing temperatures is gone (typically around Mother's Day), the cover can be removed simply by opening the seam we've made and remove the cover so you can store it to use again in the fall. Since these nifty covers are reusable, you can put them back on in late September and extend your watering season through October.
And best of all, since you don't have to worry about freeze damage, you can schedule your start-up in early April and beat the rush. Contact us today to get yours reserved! Hurry, the discount ends April 1st, and that's no April Fool's!

If Only We had a Crystal Ball...
Our start-up season runs about 6 weeks, from the beginning of April until Mid-May. And the most often repeated question we hear from our customers is: "when do you recommend that I start my sprinklers?"
Our answer is: Mother Nature always keeps us guessing! Every year is different. The last three years provide a perfect example:
- In 2010, our last spring freeze was on May 8th
- In 2009, our last spring freeze was early, on April 14th
- In 2008, April 28th was our last spring freeze
So here are some guidelines to help you decide the best time to start up your sprinkler system.
- Choose April 1st - April 15th if you have an insulated backflow cover, or you are familiar with how to drain down your backflow to prevent freeze damage.
- Choose April 16th - April 30th if you like to get an early start and are willing to wrap the backflow device with towels or blankets when night-time freezing temps are forecasted.
- Choose May 1st - May 15th if you want to be fairly confident that freezing temps are gone for the season. You may want to hand water a bit if we have really warm and dry May.
- Choose After May 15th if you want to be very confident that freezing temps are gone for the season. May 15th is considered to be Omaha's frost-free date!
You can book your Start-up appointment now! Prime appointment times are already filling up. Don't run the risk of having to wait until after May 15th, contact us today.

Rising Fuel Prices Are Hitting All of Us
We are proud to be able to say our start-up, winterization and service plan pricing has remained the same for several years, and that we will continue to hold the prices for these services.
However, with the rising cost of fuel, we, along with everyone else are being hit with increased expenses. As a service company when fuel costs increase, we feel the impact since our service technicians spend a significant part of their day driving from property to property.
So, beginning March 1st, we will be adding a fuel surcharge to service calls for repairs only. This surcharge will NOT apply to start-ups or winterizations, since we try to schedule appointments in groups within close geographic areas together. We appreciate your understanding in this matter, and let's all hope we see an end to this climb.
