From the Executive Director
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Hey, did you know that Cap2Cap registrations are almost double than this time last year?  And more than half are riding 50 & 25 miles.  That may not seem noteworthy, but just four years ago, these routes accounted for just 25% of all registrations.  Here's what this means:  More people are starting to ride bikes around here.  Clearly, we have a growing cycling culture, and it's growing from the ground up.  New riders in our event, in large part, are new to cycling.  If you've been thinking about getting a bike, whether to begin exercising in a fun way, or to add some cross training to your running routine, think about trying the Cap2Cap this year.  We'll take good care of you, with feed zones, support vehicles, and of course, a tailwind from every direction.  With all the other folks trying it for the first time, you'll have many keeping you company along the way.

Read on for exciting updates on how we're making the 2011 Cap2Cap the best one yet.
