Imagine the Possibilities
A whopping 69% of non-local Virginia Capital Trail users participating in our usage survey, said the Trail definitely influenced their decision to visit the area.  Add 17% more who said it somewhat influenced their decision.  Best part?  There's a whole lot more Trail yet to come.  Imagine when all 50+ miles are complete?

The VCTF is
Looking for
Volunteers and Sponsors :

 Saturday, May
7, 2011

Last year, a volunteer won a Trek bike, sponsors found rich and loyal new customers, and participants discovered how miserable, yet highly rewarding, pedaling endless miles into a headwind can be.

We continue to improve on our winning formula.
The 2011 event will feature a variety of entertainers, new routes, a new twist on rest stops, a TAILWIND, and more.

Partner with us for a great day and an even better cause!

Yay for the YEP'rs!

Williamsburg's Young Emerging Professionals (YEPs) recently adopted the Greensprings portion of the Trail in James City County.  Their first cleanup was Saturday, November 6, and by all accounts, it was a very successful day.  According to Tom Cosgrove, the weather was perfect, the friends fun, and the debris, not too bad.  He confirmed that everyone loved the smart looking reflector vests.  The next time you're enjoying the Greensprings phase and realize how pristine it is, remember to thank:  Rick Collins, Lindsay Fedorowski, Tom Cosgrove, Tiffany Francis, Catherine Smagala and Preston Wall.  Thank you all!  It's the volunteers who make this a world class trail.
