Happy New Year! January has been a busy month on the Donley Children's Campus. Renovations are under way for the three SafeStart Classrooms that will open up in March.  Jane Ervin presented staff with her annual "Town Hall" meeting highlighting the 2009 program year and talked about some upcoming projects that will be ground-breaking in upcoming months!

CSC Welcomes New Board Members
 
tom daubThomas Daub
recently joined the Board of Community Services for Children. He writes modestly that "the car business has always been a big part of my life. When I was young my father would drop me off on Saturday's to wash cars.  I have spent time in all the different departments of the dealership."  Daub is currently a partner in four of the seven Brown Daub dealerships and general manager of two of them. He holds a B.A. in Economics from St. Lawrence University. In addition to the CSC Board, Daub serves on the boards of the Children's Home of Easton and Two Rivers Area Chamber of Commerce (TRACC).
 
entertainment bookCSC also recently welcomed Crayola exec Michelle Powers to its board. Powers is VP for Human Resources, Corporate Affairs & Administration at Crayola. She has worldwide responsibility for human resources activities, including staffing, organizational effectiveness, learning and development, employee relations, benefits and compensation, corporate affairs, corporate communication, administrative services, environmental health & safety.  The Crayola Factory also reports to Powers.  Previously, she held management positions with American Express and Bank One/JP Morgan Chase.  She received a BA from Ohio Wesleyan University in psychology, sociology and anthropology.

Janet Payeski is our newest Volunteer at CSC! Janet is a Retired Air Products employee and is spending her time here at CSC in the Family Library. She helps staff with locating and checking out materials. Janet plans on holding storytime for the children who attend the FA classroom.
