As of October 5th, sad to say, the PA Budget impasse continues. Over 230 Head Start/Pre K Counts children are locked out of classrooms operated by CSC. All Pre K Counts and subsidized childcare providers in the Lehigh Valley are affected.
CSC celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with Barnes & Noble
afp2CSC was invited to take part in Barnes & Noble Celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month at the Lifestyle Center at the Lehigh Valley Mall. CSC Staff read bilingual stories to the children who participate in the regularly scheduled storytime at Barnes and Noble. CSC staff members who participated were (also pictured above): Early Head Start Staff Ofelia Romero, CCIS Staff Carolyn Zapata and Family Services Staff Gladys Rodriguez.
PNC Bank holds a "Back to School Supply Drive"

AFP donates books to CSC
afp2CSC would like to give the Association of Fundraising Professionals a big CSC "high five" for recently donating books to CSC and the Family Services department. The AFP held an all day forum for their members and as a thank you gift to the presenter, a children's book was donated in their honor.
Please continue to advocate for these children by contacting your local legislator and tell them about the importance of Early Education!

Sincerely,

Sara George
