CSC was a "Hit" with the Lehigh Valley IronPigs
"Hit a Homerun for Children" was definitely a Homerun for our children.

More than 65 fans of the IronPigs and Community Services for Children rallied together for a great night of perfect weather, baseball and friendly faces.ASD
Team CSC enjoyed a buffet of ballbark favorites, a go green grocery bag, field entertainment and a late 10th inning rally that left the home team one run short of victory! But the winners of this game weren't the Pawtucket Red Sox, it was all the friends and employees that came out to support the children of the Lehigh Valley.

Chosen as a site of excellence
The SafeStart classrooms, an EHS home visit, Go Parents Go parents group, the Therapeutic Teachers and Family Coach, and the Director of Health Services were all interviewed and filmed during the two days of production.

Little Voices for Healthy Choices

Little Voices for Healthy Choices is an Early Head Start initiative that focuses on movement and nutrition in the context of child/caregiver relationships.  Our Early Head Start was one of 24 chosen to take part in the initiative.  As part of this pilot we have provided the Child Development Partners, Therapeutic Family Coach and Therapeutic Teachers with resources to use in the home and classroom to facilitate movement and good nutrition choices.  We had an excellent site visit in January and were recently videotaped by the Early Head Start National Resource Center.  Children, parents and staff are embracing the LVHC activities and the message of movement, improving parent child relationships and making healthier food choices.
