From the President... Greetings!
I hope you had a good summer and a good start to the new school year.
My colleagues and I recently have been reflecting on the past 12 months. Although last year was challenging for everyone, we continue to be committed to our core values and to do our best to support independent school education by forming personal relationships and providing customized services to both schools and educators.
In our talks with heads of schools and other school leaders, we have had many serious and meaningful discussions about the future of independent and private school education, new programs, enrollment, faculty, leadership, diversity among both faculty and student bodies, and the effect that the economic crisis has had on their schools. We find the education community is concerned, yet optimistic about the future. Each time we match a great teacher or administrator with a school we feel wonderful, knowing that we have helped to strengthen and maintain the independent and private school world. We are here to help you, counsel you, and provide our personal insight and opinions, even as we live through these trying times. Please feel free to call us to chat at any time. Warmest regards,
Lee Miller, President Cal/West Educators Placement |

Candidate Spotlights |
It is extremely gratifying for us to help teachers and administrators find "The Perfect Match!" As we meet and interview candidates they become part of the Cal/West family and we share their joy when our "bell rings" and they are placed in a new position!
Here are just a few of the great educators who have recently found their dream positions: Terry Gumz, Michelle Knoetgen, Janet Lee, Alexis Spina, and Luthern Williams. Please read their stories!

Leadership Placements
|
As the pre-eminent educator placement firm in the Western United
States, Cal/West is an ideal choice to assist schools with contingent
and retained searches for senior leaders including heads, assistant
heads, division heads, principals, deans, and directors of development
and admissions. Because of our year-round recruiting and interviewing
process, we may be able to fill administration positions quickly from
our large pool of qualified candidates. Cal/West has a
full-time staff at its main office in Los Angeles, and experienced
senior-level representatives in major cities across the U.S. All of our
representatives have been heads or top administrators of independent
schools! Whether your school's search is contingent or
retained, you will work directly with Cal/West's president, Lee Miller,
to find the best-qualified candidates to lead your school. Please call
Lee directly to discuss your leadership search needs.

College Visits |

Every year, Cal/West representatives travel throughout the United States meeting candidates who are interested in relocating to the west. At each location we present Information Sessions and schedule a limited number of personal interviews.
