Greetings!

SpencersI want to begin by saying a big "Thank you!" to each of you who use your time, energy, and money to care for orphans by supporting Hope for Home Ministries. I understand how challenging our current economy is and that those who continue to give do so because of a die hard commitment to the priorities of God.

In addition, I want to take a moment to shed the light on how your gifts are making an eternal difference. Since we started in August of 2008 (10 months ago) we have found homes for 43 children through our public speaking, communications, and advocacy. If that was the end of the story I would consider our ministry and your support more than justified. But that is not the end; in fact that is just the beginning of 43 individual stories.

Each of these children were adopted into loving Christian homes in which Jesus Christ is both worshipped and followed. Many of these same children were adopted from cultures that were either closed to the Gospel or dominated by the Moslem faith. Yet as a result of these adoptions they will be raised  with exposure to the Bible and a devotion to God. In that context, what do you think the chances are that they will come to know Jesus as their Savior?

Let's be conservative and assume that only 75% make a decision to follow Jesus. That means the end result would be 32 individuals won to Christ. How many other missionaries can you name who have seen those results in the same time period?

So to each of you who have supported our mission I offer my most sincere thanks. To those who have been praying and considering partnering with us, I invite you to get on board and join us in the journey today. You will literally change lives in both this life and eternity!

More Children Coming Home!

Sasha

We are pleased to announce that since our last newsletter we have found homes for six more children, including Immaculate, whom we highlighted last month, and Sasha, shown here. We praise God for these wonderful children and the incredible families that are bringing them home!

Please join us in praying for God's provision for each of these families and that the process goes quickly. Let us also continue praying for the many children listed through our partnering sites who are still waiting for their homes.
Use Goodsearch to Support Hope for Home

GoodSearchGoodSearch is a search engine that shares fifty percent of its advertising revenue with registered charities. Because Hope for Home is now a registered GoodSearch non-profit, we will receive one cent for each search you perform if you use GoodSearch as your primary search engine.

That may not sound like much, but consider this: If five hundred people signed up to search on behalf of Hope for Home and averaged two searches each day, the yield would be $10.00 per day; if this were averaged for a full year, the total revenue for our ministry would be $3,650.

So start by doing the following:
  1. Go to www.goodsearch.com.
  2. In the "Who Do You GoodSearch For?" window, type "Hope for Home Ministries"
    then click "Verify."
  3. Add GoodSearch to your Web browser's search box. (Note: whenever you clear the cookies in your browser, you will need to re-verify HfH as your chosen charity.) You can also choose to add GoodSearch to your browser's toolbar; just follow the prompts on the GoodSearch home page.
  4. Then, search as normal. The search engine is powered by Yahoo!, so you will continue to receive the same high quality and thorough searches you're used to while generating funds for our ministry.
  5. Keep track of the funds. Visit goodsearch.com regularly and click on the "Amount Raised" button to see the total funds raised by the Hope for Home community.
  6. Share GoodSearch with your friends and ask them to consider searching on behalf of Hope for Home.

Pray for Harrison

Asia 321Harrison (age 2) was found at 2 months of age and sent to an orphanage.  In June, 2007, he entered into foster care.  Currently he is a little over 2 ½ years old.  Harrison is described as a bright boy who is active and likes to give kisses.  His caretakers say he often frowns like an adult, which is very funny.

He enjoys toys that shine and make noise.  He also likes to watch TV and play outside.  Bananas and apples are his favorite snack.

Harrison has had surgery for deformity of his upper and lower limbs.  Both feet were inverted and his arms were flaccid.  He continues to have a motor disturbance with his arms.  He was also treated for Torticollis.  This little boy will continue to thrive with a family he can call his own.

Please pray for Harrison and consider giving him a home...your home. You can request more information through A Helping Hand Adoption Agency at http://www.worldadoptions.org/specialdelivery/ChinaWaitingChildrenList.php.
