I've been thinking a lot about the largest organ in my body lately....my skin. What prompted this? Of course the fact that we are encouraged to wear sun screen and TPers spend a lot of time in the sun, but also, because I see and hear of people in my life who wish they would've covered up earlier in life.
Usually in an outdoor TP class the odors of the hour aren't much to delight in...sweat, lingering skunk, stale water or the occasional passing cigarette, but for a few months now I smile with glee each time a certain TPer comes to class. This same person co-owns the beautiful
SALTRIDGES store at 389 Brant Street and if you have walked with Deborah, you know that I always exclaim, "Smell that! Deborah, what product are you wearing today? It's usually something natural and light, which is why I decided to consult with Deborah for a new sunscreen that would fulfill my criteria. It had to have a good spf, it had to be as natural as possible (without resorting to zinc oxide) and it couldn't run into my eyes at the 45th minute of a class. After testing Coola samples from Deborah and then reading in Runner's World Magazine that the product was top-rated by runners, I put my stamp of approval on
Coola Sunscreen. The reviews on this product are amazing and highlight the moisturizing properties, the organic ingredients, the smell and a biggy for me...the sweat resistant feature.
Thanks to Deborah and Saltridges, I have samples of this product for you to test. I went in this week to buy myself a larger container and couldn't resist also picking up a tube of something called "goē oil" which is a 100% natural all over body oil/balm. Yes, you'll be wanting to walk beside me in class a little bit more now!
I will bring a number of samples to each outdoor class for the next 3 days until they run out!
See you out group,
Sue
