Good evening everyone,
Today marks the 1st Year Anniversary of Tread Powerfully! I still vividly remember writing the email to invite friends of mine to meet at the Starbucks in downtown Burlington to test out this new concept I was thinking of. All I knew was this. I wanted to take my love of muscle, intense cardio and sharing life and take it into the "fresh" air. Many of you still in TP were at that first class, and if I gave you the choreography from that first class, I'm sure you would chuckle a bit at how far we've taken it! Thank you to my demo group who said, "We love this, it could work" and thank you to all of you who took that first step to try it and then shared it with your friends and family. You have spread the message through your words, the changes in your spirits and the transformations in your bodies...my goodness, I love your muscle! Another big change? I don't hear as many hoots and hollers from passing cars, they're so used to us now! In July I was blessed when Lisa Wayland agreed to join the Tread Powerfully instructing team after months of balancing her own gym instructing with attending TP classes. Rarely does a day go by when Lisa and I are not on the phone sharing feedback on classes, comparing weather statistics that will impact our walks and just being the support to each other that is so needed in work and life. Love you Lis! Okay, there's my emotional stuff for the week.
Are you ready for the cold this week? We've done the cold before and this week is going to be consistently frosty. My recommendations? Mittens, double and triple layered. Neck warmer or scarf. Wool socks - I received a wonderful gift at Christmas of the Smartwool socks found at Foot Tools and I can't say enough about them - don't feel the cold or the wet at all.
Intense Strength Classes are full Both the Monday morning and Tuesday evening Intense Strength classes are now full. We've got some major muscle building going on with a lot of focused members. If you'd like to be put on the waiting list, please let me know!
New season has started The new schedule is posted on the website and the registration form and price structure can be found on the "how to register" tab. I tried to make the selections as flexible as possible as I know many people are fitting in classes between ski visits, kids busy hockey schedules and general life stuff!
Have a wonderful evening everyone and please do write with questions and feedback!
