| How do you feel when you hit the beach strip? |

Hello TPers,
How would you answer the above question? Are you comfortably warm, freezing cold or overheated with steam rising off your skin? The past days have offered us rain, wind and even humidity to contend with. Just like you have been testing your outerwear in this month of weather transition, so have I. I've also been watching you and listening to your comments.
Here are a few tips to help you get through your workout without wishing you could jump into the lake or run into a parked car!
Mittens are a must. Even if you think you can swing a class without mittens, when your hands hit the cement walls to do push-ups and dips, you will want your mitts to protect your skin. For now, even a thin pair that you can toss on and off will allow you to complete the reps without crying from the cold or lamenting the goose poop.
Vests don't tie. Although vests are really cute fashion-wise (I think so anyways, right?), you can't tie a vest around your waist when you need to strip it off. Really, no option here unless you want to toss it in the grass. A few of you have wished that we could have a little trolley drive behind us to collect our layers...wouldn't that be nice?
You're hot! Although the 2 minutes prior to class can be a tad chilly, you are discovering how little clothing you really need. I need to share a big learning with you on this one. Let's say you get to the compass and you're steamy but you don't feel like taking off a layer...chances are it's going to drag down your workout and impact your ability to give 100% without you fully realizing it. Trust me...if you are overheating, take the 30 seconds to tie it around your waist. I have watched closely during this week and I can pick the overheaters out of the crowd because I see your body downshifting. Thinking strategically....outer layer is optimally a zipped layer. Even if you have your waterbelt on top of it, all you need to do is unzip to the belt, take your arms out and tie them above the belt. You've seen me do this the past weeks and it works!
Reminder of class switch - for one week only Wednesday, November 5th at 6:30 pm - Intense Strength with Sue Wednesday, November 6th at 6:30 pm - Outdoor Tread Powerfully class with Lisa
New Website and Lisa
Check out the new Tread Powerfully website for information on dressing, where to shop and see the BIO page for a "make-up and hair" picture of Lisa and myself. I have added Lisa's email to her bio as she would love to hear from you if you have thoughts to offer her about her class...both of us thrive when you are honest with us and let us know what works and what doesn't quite hit the mark with you!
My most favorite "ME" event of the year - Joelle's Fashion Show
I am tickled because Joelle is having her annual instore fashion show on November 13th from 7 - 10 pm. Honestly, this is a night that I just can't wait to attend each year because I get to feel like I'm a fashionista for one night and take it all in. Check out the "news and events" tab on Joelle's website (www.joelles.com) to see all the little special surprises she has planned and get your tickets NOW.
Enjoy your most favorite Halloween treat tonight...Pauline suggested the peanut butter cup last night in Intense Strength and I agree with her on that one! After you're done your treat, prepare your TP clothes for tomorrow morning and get your sleep cause I got lots of TRICKS planned for tomorrow!
See you guys,
Sue
