Happy February!  This month we say happy birthday to Abe Lincoln, George Washington, and my mom!  Of course there was also Valentine's Day, the Super Bowl, the Grammys, and, on a very sad note, the passing of pop superstar Whitney Houston.   It's amazing how these super talented singers touch us in such a deep way.  As a huge fan of music I am thrilled to introduce a new product line to EcoPlum called Vintage Vinyl Journals.  These eco friendly writing journals are made of old vinyl records, album covers, and 100% acid free recycled paper.  Whitney's is sold out, but how about one from Madonna, or for the more classic rockers, the Boss, instead? 

We've also just expanded our safe cosmetics and eco friendly jewelry offerings with the addition of Ferro cosmetics mineral make up and Bottled Up Designs recycled glass jewelry.  The Organic Girly has captured the inspiring story behind these beautiful earrings and necklaces in her Fashion Files this month.  And speaking of making beautiful new items from trash, Robin has some creative ideas this month on Repurposing with Style.  Also this month, Chryso has the rub down on natural exfoliators, Dede has the skinny on McDonalds' eggs, and Silvia embarks on her room by room greening/energy saving challenge.

And after a three month hiatus, I have returned to the blogosphere with my review of a wonderful event I helped organize earlier this month with the Columbia Business School Alumni Club's Sustainable Business Committee: Slow Food Meets Big Business, part of the Making Green from Green Series.
